The city was in a very festive mood last December 19 as it celebrated the annual Shariff Kabunsuan Festival with unique pomp and elegance of the Ginakit flotilla in the Rio Grande de Mindanao.
An early morning parade was well attended by the important sectors of the city, many of whom chose to wear traditional Moro attire consisting of inaul and sirikit-styled blouses.
Now on its 12th year, the Shariff Kabunsaun Festival was highlighted by the Ginakit Fluvial Competition which was participated by 12 entries.
