Children as young as three years old and limping octogenarians were assembled at the People’s Palace lobby October 5 for the city’s joint launching program of the 17th National Children’s Month and Senior Citizen’s Week.
Held annually by virtue of Proclamation No. 267 dated September 30, 1993, the National Children’s Month is in recognition of the Filipino Children as the most valuable asset of the nation and their vital role in nation-building. This year’s theme is " Bright Child: Proteksyon ng Bata, Pananagutan ng Bansa!" as support to the campaign to end violence against children.
