Barangay Rosary Heights 1, also known as PC Hill, brought another honor to Cotabato City when it was chosen last December as one of awardees in the urban category of the National Search for the Barangay with Best Sanitation Practice. Eliseo Cerdania, RH 1 barangay chairman, received a plaque of appreciation last December 10 at ADB office in Manila during awarding rites organized by the Department of Health. On January 19, Cerdania received from Regional Director Dr. Abdullah Dumama of the Department of Health 12 the cash prize of P150,000 at the New City Hall during regular Monday convocation program. The Search seeks to challenge local governments to showcase their best practices on sanitation, specifically on the availability of water supply, toilet facilities and local initiatives related to environmental protection.
