THE challenge to establish the excellence of Mindanao journalists is one challenge Sun.Star Davao takes to heart, and thus this year it shared the limelight once again as one of two of the most awarded community daily newspapers in the country. The other big winner is its sister publication, the much bigger Sun.Star Cebu in the 2010 Civic Journalism Community Press Awards held at Traders Hotel Manila last June 24.
Sun.Star Davao was again awarded for Best in Science and Environmental Reporting and Best in Business and Economic Reporting for the daily newspaper category.
