Vegetable industry players are set to discuss safety issues in pesticide and agro-chemical use in their farming method during the 7th National Vegetable Congress to be conducted in this city on July 14-16. They hope to learn new technologies to increase farm productivity in a bid to alleviate poverty in the countryside. Representatives of at least 30 seed, pesticide and agro-chemical companies are expected to attend.
The event is organized by the Central Mindanao Vegetable Industry and Development Council (CEMVIDEC). This year’s congress is themed "Accelerating the Development of the Philippine Vegetable Industry in Response to National and Global Challenges."
