MALAPATAN, Sarangani (April 27, 2010) – Regional Development Council (RDC) Chair and Sarangani Governor Migs Dominguez awards the package of programs and projects to Mayor George Sambaga Tuesday, April 27, during the launching of the RDC 12 Poverty Alleviation Convergence project for the ten poorest municipalities in Region 12. The RDC, through the leadership of Gov. Dominguez, tasked the regional KALAHI Convergence group 12 to lead the implementation of the Poverty Alleviation Convergence project envisioned to alleviate the plight of the poorest of the poor of region 12 through the convergence of programs and services, and focused geographic and sectoral targeting beneficiaries. The RKCG 12 technical working group with NEDA 12 identified the ten poorest municipalities of the region based on the data from various sources particularly the national statistical and coordination board. These municipalities are Malapatan and Maasim from Sarangani; T’boli and Lake Sebu from South Cotabato; Ezperanza, Sen.
