ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat – The members of the Provincial Development Council of Sultan Kudarat finally approved the list of priority development programs and projects under the Annual Investment Plan (AIP) during the 31st PDC Meeting recently at King’s Hall Provincial Capitol Building.
The AIP which amounted to P208,865,017.00, posting an increase of 25.82% compared to last year’s P165,997,887, was broken down into several sectors such as Economic, Social Services, Infrastructure and Development Administration to address the needs and improve the lives of the most vulnerable – the poor, the marginalized, the senior citizens, and the women’s group.The Development Administration has the highest appropriation amounting to P143,970,000 or 68.93% of the total budget of the AIP. The Infrastructure has P23,495,017 or 11.25%, Economic with P21,350,000 or 10.22% and Social Services P20,050,000 or 9.60%.
Governor Teng Mangudadatu, Al Haj, chairperson of the PDC revealed that some of the projects and programs listed under the AIP have little changes in their allocations to give priorities to those which can bring development and satisfy the plight of the people.
Under the AIP, the 2010 budget for the Development Administration Services and the Infrastructure Sectors marked a significant increase of 36.5% and 91.2% from the previous year’s P105,470,000 and P12,290,000, respectively.
The Governor wanted the province to be at par with the other key cities and provinces in terms of improved infrastructure and upgraded technologies to make life convenient and easier for every Sultan Kudarateño.
