December 23, 2009 – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) made scores unusual sudden movements in towns of Basilan and Lanao del Norte the past days.
The Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) forces in the area hit these movements as undermining the progress of the peace negotiations between the government and MILF and the declaration of the suspension of military offensives (SOMO) by the government against the MILF.
