December 18, 2009 - The Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) has reminded presidential aspirant former defense Secretary Gilbert “Gibo” Teodoro that the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) is programmed by the Government of the Republic of the Philippines (GRP) to fail in a bid to defeat the political aspirations of the Bangsamoro people for genuine self-governance.
“The ARMM is not autonomous; it is an administrative region even weaker than the ordinary local government units like the provinces and cities,” Khaled Musa, deputy chairman of the MILF committee on information, said, in reaction to Gibo’s statement calling for the abolition of the ARMM.
