December 17, 2009 - The Western Mindanao Command (Wesmincom) of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has distributed some 5,000 leaflets in Basilan, tapping the assistance of the people in the hunt against the jail escapees including MILF Commander Hadji Dan Laksaw, who carried a P2 million price on his head.
The leaflets were dropped through UH-1H helicopters to the different villages in areas where the escapees are believed to be hiding.
Lieutenant General Benjamin Mohammad Dolorfino, Wesmincom chief, said written on the leaflets are the names of the escapees and the corresponding amount of reward for their recapture.
