October 25, 2009 – Hundreds of still displaced families due to flood in several areas in the municipality of Sultan Kudarat, in the province of Maguindanao received food assistance recently. The relief goods were distributed by the Department of Social Welfare and Development of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (DSWD – ARMM), the DSWD 12 Regional Field Office, Mindanao Emergency Relief Network (MERN), UNDP – Act for Peace Program, Press Secretary Jesus Dureza and the local government of Sultan Kudarat represented by former mayor Datu Tocao Mastura.
