In her keynote address at the 18th Mindanao Business Conference in Koronadal City, U.S. Ambassador Kristie A. Kenney says that a peaceful, developed Mindanao, grounded in the rule of law, would attract investment to the Philippines. Next to the podium are South Cotabato Chamber president Carlito Uy, Sarangani Province Governor Miguel Dominguez and Koronadal City Mayor Fernando Miguel. Through USAID’s Growth with Equity in Mindanao (GEM) Program, which is implemented under the oversight of the Mindanao Economic Development Council, the U.S. Government works with chambers, industry federations, growers associations, and other business support organizations (BSOs) to catalyze economic growth in Mindanao.
