Outgoing 58IB Commanding Officer Col. Pedralvez serves for almost 2 years having jurisdiction over Surigao del Sur’s 1st District earning the ire of militant groups, the latest of which is the controversial mass evacuation of Indigenous People recently allegedly for fear that they might be caught in the middle of an encounter between the military and NPA’s.
