September 20, 2009 - The peace process between the Government of the Republic of the Philippines (GRP) and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) is now moving forward.This was the statement of MILF Chairman Al Haj Murad Ebrahim in an interview yesterday at Camp Darapanan in Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao with scores of media practitioners associated with Agence France – Press, German Press Agency, TV-1 Indonesia and Philippine Daily Inquirer.
“We are glad that the peace process has been gradually moving forward. The most recent development was the signing of the Framework Agreement on the Formation of the International Contact Group (ICG) between the government and the MILF, witnessed by the Malaysian Third Party Facilitator, in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia last September 15, 2009,” Chairman Murad said.
