September 10, 2009 - An indigenous tribal group calling itself as the Kusog sa Katawhang Lumad sa Mindanao (Kalumaran) is calling for justice on the death of a tribal leader in Esperanza, Agusan del Sur last September 2.
The group accused the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) as behind the brutal killing.
In a statement emailed to Sunstar, the group said troops from Task Force Gantangan, allegedly created by the AFP's Eastern Mindanao Command, brutally killed Higaonon Datu Mampaagi Belayong.
