September 8, 2009 - Resident Coordinator of the United Nations (UN) in the Philippines Her Excellency Jacqui Badcock held a meeting with the leadership of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) couple of days ago at Simuay, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao.
Badcock’s visitation with the MILF, particularly focused on the formal engagement of the United Nations Children Educational Funds (UNICEF) with MILF on the issue of child soldiers in armed conflict, was the first ever since her assumption to the post as the highest official of the UN in the Philippines who has the direct supervision over all UN agencies in the country.
