August 28, 2009 – The Government of Japan looks forward to the early resumption of peace talks between the Government of the Philippines and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).His Excellency Makoto Katsura, Japanese Ambassador to the Philippines, stressed this in his remarks during the turnover ceremony for the Japan rice donation to the United Nations World Food Program (UNWFP) on August 26, 2009 in Polloc, Parang, Maguindanao.
