August 12, 2009 – A day-long and well-participated forum on civilian peacekeeping mission spearheaded by some international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) based in the Philippines was held in Manila last August 8, 2009.Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) headed by Country Representative Klaus Preschle, Nonviolent Peaceforce Philippines (NVPF) headed by Atif Hameed organized the forum in collaboration local partners Institute for Autonomy and Governance (IAG) headed by its Director Fr. Eliseo Mercado, Jr. and the Notre Dame University (NDU), both based in Cotabato City.
