COTABATO PROVINCE/August 1, 2009 – At least two unidentified gunmen ambushed and killed a worker of the Malitubog-Maridagao Irrigation Project of the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) at around 7 p. m. yesterday in Barangay (village) Ugalingan, Carmen, this province.Samson Mantawil, 44 years old and a resident of Barangay Ugalingan sustained gunshot wounds on his left breast, abdomen and the right side of his neck that caused his instant death.
