Butuan – Police still faces blank wall on the killing of Radyo Natin block timer commentator Godofredo Linao Jr., 49, who was shot at close range 4 times hitting his back at the time he was about to ride his motorcycle vehicle parked nearby of a lodging house, at 1 o’clock early dawn, July 28.
It was learned, that Linao was Provincial Deputy Governor Librado Navarro’s spokesman who expressed intention of running in next year’s election and a hard hitting commentator over his program in Radyo Natin against politicians of his locality.
Linao accordingly discussed over his radio program the alleged anomaly of the local government’s purchase of 20 brand new crosswinds for the councillors.
Media groups in Caraga Region condemned the killing and urged Task Force Usig to identify and arrest those responsible to bring justice to Linao’s murder.
Linao is the fourth member of the press to be killed in less than two months in the country.
