July 21, 2009 - Civilians affected by the almost one-year military operations of the government in Maguindanao against the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) today reiterated calls to put an end to the continuing indiscriminate artillery shelling by the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) that had been causing civilian deaths and injuries, traumas and destruction.
The appeal from the civilians came in the wake of the indiscriminate shelling by the AFP last night and the past week that hit densely populated civilian areas in the municipalities of Guindulungan and Datu Saudi Ampatuan, province of Maguindanao.
