Butuan – Two motorcycles were hit head on by a Toyota Vios along national highway at Purok 7, Taglikid, Barangay San Isidro, San Francisco, Agusan del Sur.

At past 9 in the morning yesterday, a black STX Yamaha motorcycle with plate number 8182 FH driven by Belmario Egos, 19 years old, single and another black SYM motorcycle driven by his brother identified as Laurence Egos, 17 years old, both residing at Purok 6, Maligaya, Rosario, Agusan del Sur were hit by a Toyota Vios 1.3J color blue with plate number ZDB-430 registered to Otsuka Phils Pharmaceutical Inc. of 3rd floor King Court 2, Pasong Tamo, Makati City driven by Eric Romero, 33 years old, single, resident of 36 Pagmamahal St., Pag-asa Homes Subdivision, Buhangin, Davao City.

Initial investigation revealed that both motorcycles were travelling from San Francisco towards Rosario in Agusan del Sur, while the Toyota was travelling from Davao City heading towards Butuan City.

However, upon reaching Purok 7, Taglikid, Brgy San Isdro in San Francisco, Agusan del Sur, the driver of Toyota car tried to evade pot holes on the road by veering to the left opposite lane but lost control of the vehicle and skidded to the extreme left and bumped the STX Yamaha motorcycle & side swiped the SYM motorcycle.

Both motorcycle drivers sustained injuries and were rushed to DOP Memorial Hospital for treatment while the three vehicles incurred damages.

All vehicles and the driver of the car are now under the custody of San Francisco Municipal Police Station who took cognizance of the case for further investigation.
