BUTUAN CITY- The National Democratic Front (NDF) North Central Mindanao through its spokesman Cesar Renerio today claimed President Arroyo’s deadline to eliminate insurgency problem in the country by 2010 is not attainable now and in the months to come as Arroyo’s term nears end thus it is a total dismal failure.

“It’s obviously clear, the Armed Forces of the Philippines cannot crush the NPA” in the press statement by NDF furnished to this writer said.

The press statement further added the persistent prating of the AFP that it can crush the NPA before Gloria Arroyo’s term ends is nothing but mantra parroted by its lower commands to supposedly show to their master Gloria Arroyo their victories in the battlefields thereby obtaining the much sought promotions and the needed budget for more corruption.

“The truth is not one guerrilla front is crushed despite intensified militarization and terrorism launched by the AFP under its operation plan dubbed Bantay Laya 2, “the NDF press statement signed by Ka Cesar Renerio said.

.

The press statement further claimed that on the contrary, NPA guerrilla fronts sprouted indicating the correctness of its line for protracted people’s war and the favorable situation for the revolution now in the face of global economic crises borne by almost all countries in the world.

It also claimed the NPA has launched more or less one tactical offensive daily nationwide.

“Further adding up to its strength is the regime’s elimination of distinction between the legal and progressive forces to that of the armed movement as all enemies of state goading the former to adapt a guerrilla-style of work to dodge the dreaded death squads of the fascist state”, the press statement said.

NDF said that during turn over of commands ceremony of the 4th Infantry Division last June held at Cagayan de Oro, no less than Lt. General Delfin Bangit, the head of the Phil Army declared that they have no more time to catch up the deadline crushing the NPA before the term ends of his master Gloria Arroyo.

Bangit, according to Cesar Renerio, admitted this in front of mass media and people attending said occasion.

NDF said the Armed Forces are overstretched likened to firemen who were too much preoccupied to answer whatever, whenever the fire alarm calls.

“And to register at least a “victory” they go to the media and announced the supposedly numerous NPA camps they have captured in Agusan del Sur, Gingoog and Bukidnon but were actually all false and figment of the minds of those who write their praise releases” the NDF added.

NDF claimed that to them these propagandas were nothing because the NPA camps can be transferred anywhere, anytime saying the NPA camps anyway stayed within hearts and minds of countless poor Filipinos suffering under the corrupt Arroyo regime and past Philippine regimes managed by past equally corrupt administration.

NDF further added that the resumption of peace negotiations between the GRP and the NDFP this coming August further confirms that the AFP has run out of gas against the NPA who have acquired further inspiration after its 40th anniversary celebration.

NDF said this proved further that the CPP-NPA-NDF is not a terrorist organization and the fascist US-Arroyo regime is forced to eat its words.

The Arroyo regime did not anymore impose preconditions such as a ceasefire and lifted its suspension of the Joint Agreement on the Safety and Immunity Guarantees (JASIG) which will take effect on July 17.

On the negotiation table the NDF will deal on the implementation and respect for human rights and international humanitarian law. They will have to deal also the social and economic reforms.

NDF concludes recent development indicates one more victory for the people in the struggle for democracy, justice and freedom.
