A new round of fighting between the MILF and the AFP erupted in Lanao del Norte and Lanao del Sur yesterday, Saturday, June 13, 2009.
Three incidents of gun battle took place between the mujahideen and AFP ground troops all in one day:
At 5:00 am, MILF guerrillas launched a tactical attack on Filipino troops encamped at Bgy. Togaya, Municipality of Salvador, Lanao del Norte.
At 8:00 am, another tactical offensive was taken by MILF mujahideen units against Filipino troops along the Wato-Piagapo boundary in Lanao del Sur.
At 11:00 am, another round of fighting broke out between the MILF and Filipino troops at the same Bgy. Togaya, Municipality of Salvador, Lanao del Norte.
