Five Army soldiers including an officer were killed and several others wounded when a roadside bomb exploded while they were on foot patrol yesterday, June 3, in Datu Unsay, Maguindanao.
The explosion from an improvised device occurred at 8:00 am in village Maitumaig, where a creek so named because it is blackish due to black stones and pebbles underneath is located. It was the scene of so many bloody ambuscades in the past.
