On May 31, 2009 around 9 o’clock in the morning at Father Saturnino Urios University (FSUU) in San Francisco St, Butuan City, one Philip Santiago, 31 years old, single & a resident of Purok 3 Barangay Magdagooc, Jabonga, Agusan del Norte was arrested by elements of Butuan City Police Office led by SPO4 Ricardo de Vera together with Atty Homer Mariano Cabaral, NAPOLCOM Regional Director.
Santiago was caught in the act taking NAPOLCOM PNP Entrance Examination using the name of Ian Diaz , 29 years old, single & a resident of Panikian, Carrascal, Surigao del Sur.
Said suspect also falsified Birth Certificate and Transcript of Records during application of said examination.
Case was already filed at the City Prosecutor’s Office and subject person is temporarily detained at Butuan City Police Station 1 by virtue of Waiver of Detention.
